Ivan tutored my son with AP Chemistry. After 4 tutors who claimed they knew the materiel, we finally found someone who truly did. Ivan is very patient and made sure my son understood the subject matter thoroughly.

Ivan is helping my son with college level Spanish and my son has nothing but good to say about this tutor. He is knowledgeable, patient and willing. He makes sure my son understands every assignment before ending a session. We are very pleased Ivan answered our call.

Ivan is patient, methodical and knowledgeable. He is helping my daughter on her math exam. We just started with him and it has been very positive.

Ivan tutored my high school Sophomore in Chemistry Honors. Ivan did an amazing job explaining the subject to him and supplementing his in-class instruction throughout the school year. Ivan has an extremely thorough and in-depth knowledge of the subject and his very effective in making his students understand the core fundamentals. He is punctual in his schedule and easily reachable at all times.

Ivan was very helpful with my College Calculus B tutoring. He is very knowledgeable and helped me learn the material to prepare for my tests.

Ivan helped me with organic chemistry 2 material and explained everything clearly. He cleared things up and made the material easier for me. He explained things to me that i didn't understand from my college professor.

Ivan is very knowledgeable. He was able to explain the problems in simple terms and could demonstrate different ways to get the answer.

Ivan helped me greatly with my general chemistry II class, he was able to explain complicated concepts in a very easy way, he used many different types of analogies which would make a topic very clear to understand, very patient, focus and professional,

I would highly recommend him as a tutor on any level.

We have used Ivan for Chemistry and Math and all we can say is - wow! He knows the material, has an excellent manner with our daughter and provides the insight to the issues that are holding her back. We are happy to say with Ivan, grades are up, stress is down and we are using him this year - plus booking him for our daughter's next year in school.

In Spanish II, my son was teetering between a D+ and a C-. With Ivan's help, his average grade for the year is now a B-! My son says Ivan's help has been very beneficial!

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

As a Chemist graduate I took many calculus courses over the whole of my studies, reviewing it constantly since is a subject that is used throughout all of the sciences. I excelled on them getting the highest of grades (5 out of 5, with 5 being the maximum number) in the first 3 math subjects, which included algebra and calculus I and II. And I got a grade of 4 out of 5 in differential equations and calculus III. I was a teaching assistant for 2 whole years in which I taught differential equations, Algebra I and II, Pre-calculus, calculus I and II many times. The general opinion of my students was that I made it easy for them to understand the complex concepts and formulas that teachers usually taught, and clarified many doubts for them and helped them improving their grades.

I'm a BS Chemist and graduated top of my class on April 2014. I also was awarded prior my entering to college with silver medals in the National Chemistry Olympiad, and was part of the trainees for the 34th International Chemistry Olympiad held in the Netherlands, which means I have over 10 years of experience in Chemistry. At college, I got the highest grades (5 on a scale from 1 to 5 with 5 being the highest) on almost all of my chemistry subjects both theoretical and practical.

As for my tutoring skills, I managed to earn a status in my country for being a patient, well skilled and intuitive tutor, which could assess the potential of the student in order to adapt my teaching pace and method, as well as adapting to the learning style of the student in order to obtain maximum learning and making the student earn self-trust so he/she could pursue his/her goals in the subject matter. I try an approach of making the student understand what is behind the problems and questions so that he/she be able upon that to work by themselves and experience the satisfaction of having really grasped the subject instead of just learning some formulas and concepts that will fade away within a few minutes.

At college I got the highest grades (5 on a scale from 1 to 5 with 5 being the highest) on the first two introductory Organic subjects on the first try. And have quite an experience in other topics such as Organic Labs (Synthesis and Determination) and Instrumental techniques on Organic Chemistry. Had some research experience with organic polymers synthesis and characterization with techniques such as 1H, 13C-NMR, FT-IR, Mass Spectrometry, DSC and other techniques.

I excelled, getting good grades in all 8 physics classes I took (5 theoretical and 3 laboratories). The subjects encompassed everything from classical physics up to modern physics, so I'm able to be a private tutor of physics at all high school levels and basic physics at college level.

I was born and raised in Venezuela in South America, married to a Mexican citizen born and raised in Mexico, and I have learned through the years the ways, vocabulary and expressions of many Spanish dialects, including countries such as Colombia, Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, Mexico, Dominican Republic and Spain, so I can teach in a variety of forms of Spanish. I'm a college graduate so my Spanish is proper, grammatically correct and well written. I'm also a qualified English teacher so I can teach Spanish to an English speaking person with no trouble at all.
