I specialize in tutoring for Physics and Math. My education is rooted deeply in Physics, as I hold a Master's in Physics from the University of Connecticut. I taught introductory physics courses at UConn and enjoyed seeing my students grow both in academics and critical thinking, validated through both testing and laboratory reports. The students always surprised me when I threw them curve-balls or problems that were seemingly just out of reach.
As an educator, I recognize that the student must come first. This attitude has always served me well in patience with exploring new topics and needing to explore alternate routes of explanation. I do hold high expectations on both parties, and do understand that this is a process that evolves as a deeper relationship is formed.
Currently I am employed as the Physics teacher at Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School.
I have experience tutoring and familiarity the following high school curriculum/tests: Algebra 2, Algebra 2 Honors, Trigonometry, Trigonometry Honors, PreCalc, PreCalc Honors, Calculus AB/BC, Physics, Physics Honors, Physics AP B, Physics AP C, SAT Math/Verbal/Writing, SAT 2 Physics, SAT 2 Math, ACT.
I look forward to hearing from you and helping in the success of your studies! I am currently accepting new students at this time. If you would like an opinion on material/testing or have a general question, feel free to contact me by email!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
