Hello Parents and Students,
Once a student and now a teacher, I understand the feeling of a failure in any academic area. It is a very disturbing feeling, but I can turn failures into successes. Hello Parents and Students,
Once a student and now a teacher, I understand the feeling of a failure in any academic area. It is a very disturbing feeling, but I can turn failures into successes. If parents or students can identify where they are failing, then the battle is halfway won. Failure is not a good experience, but we cannot sweep it under the rug. I enjoy helping students overcome their difficulties in math, especially middle school grade math like Algebra, and Geometry.
I had my Bachelors from Rutgers University, NJ and got certified in Middle School Math teaching. I also furthered my education at Walden University where I did my masters in Education with Middle School Math specialization. I have taught middle school math for over five years, and I enjoy helping students succeed in Math. I teach practical math to build concepts. For example, I teach math around stories students can easily relate to. I believe that all students can learn when given the necessary tools. What my students need are materials they are interested in. I think math concepts reside in these materials. When students learn concepts this way, effective learning takes place.
