I currently teach at Glen Rock High School in Bergen County teacher where I have been a special education teacher for the past 8 years. The courses I have experience teaching include Biology, Algebra 1, Learning Strategies (Excecutive Functions) World History, U.S. History 1 and U.S. History 2. My passion is my job and the key to my students success is finding the inner strength to push beyond your own self limitations! In Glen Rock, I also stay busy as the Head Varsity baseball coach (3 years), an assistant varsity football coach (8 years) and the high school anti bullying specialist (3 years). I love teaching and love to work with students to get them to reach for their dreams whatever they are. My wife is currently a literacy coach in West Caldwell and we both love teaching my 2 year old daughter all about books and math to get her ready for her education!
I have experience using technology, real world experience and hands on activities. Also relating the curriculum to students who want to make connections to everyday life.
I have devoted the last 8 years of my life working with special needs students who were classified as Learning Disabled, Emotionally disturbed and Health Impaired (ADD, ADHD). Some of these students were also classified on the autistic spectrum as well.
I am a teacher who is versatile and can cover many different topics! I have experience in working with students between grades 9 through 12 including the following course: Environmental Science, Biology, English 9, English 10, English 11, World History, U.S. History 1, U.S. History 2 and Learning Strategies. As a teacher, dealing with challenges and overcoming those obstacles is part of my daily job when in the classroom. My goal as a teacher is for my students to learn how to overcome those obstacles as well! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

For the last 10 years, I have held the following positions in the sport of baseball. Assistant Varsity coach, JV Head Coach and I am not currently the head varsity baseball coach in Glen Rock High School, NJ. I also currently work for a private baseball organization (Wladyka Baseball Inc.) which is based out of Rutherford, NJ. This organization have multiple teams who main goal is to get players exposure in front of college coaches to be recruited to play at the next level after high school. For this organization I have mostly worked with 14 through 16 year old ages.
