I am a certified NJ K-8 teacher with a Spanish language option. I have several years experience in the classroom and currently am homeschooling my own children as well as teaching Spanish to small groups of high school students. Nothing is more exciting to me than to see that light bulb go on in a student's head when they finally get a concept that has been difficult for them. I love to find creative ways to teach the same old boring lesson and make it become fun for the student.
I have flexible hours and can come to your home or library. I enjoy working with students one on one and will strive to help your child in a way that works for them. I have a Spanish option with my degree. I have volunteered as a translator for my church on trips to Mexico, have tutored Spanish speaking students in English, and have taught High School Spanish I and II for 4 years.
English and reading are my favorite subjects. I have taught numerous book clubs to home schooled students as well as grammar and literature to my own children from K-10th grade.
Please contact me if you feel like I would be a good fit for your student. We can discuss hours that will fit your schedule and exactly what you want me to work with your child on. I look forward to meeting you. I am a certified NJ K-8 teacher with a Spanish language option. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
