Fairfield University (Master's)
I have tutored children preschool ages and Kindergarten through 6th in all subjects. I worked some part time hours also with 7th-10th grade students in Mathematics, Science, and Language Arts. With both age groups, I also tutored them in organization and study skills while completing my Masters in Elementary Education at Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut.
My approach is based on student interests and hands-on experiences while incorporating standards and curriculum. Children gravitate to my fun-loving, respectful, and positively-energized outlook and approach to learning.
I have also worked in preschool and pre-kindergarten classrooms. I have a total of 8 years in teaching experiences.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have my Masters of Arts in Elementary Education with Initial Certification Grades K-6 from Fairfield University in Connecticut. I also received my Initial Educator Certification from the State of Connecticut in 2012 for teaching grades K-6. I have also worked as a teacher and tutor for the past four years in Connecticut. I use Common Core State Standards and District Curriculum paired with an Emergent Approach that focuses on each student's educational needs.
