I am a current graduate student in Computer Science at Dartmouth College, where I focus on advanced topics including software systems, machine learning, and applied AI. Prior to graduate school and throughout undergraduate school, I worked for multiple years as a Full-Stack Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, and then Forward Deployed Software Engineer, giving me extensive real-world experience applying computer science concepts in industry settings. This combination of academic training and professional practice allows me to tutor both the theoretical foundations of computer science and their practical applications.
I have experience teaching and tutoring students ranging from high school through college and early-career professionals, primarily in one-on-one settings. I have helped students with introductory programming, data structures and algorithms, systems concepts, machine learning fundamentals, and interview preparation. My approach emphasizes building intuition first, then reinforcing it through clear explanations, worked examples, and guided practice. I tailor each session to the student’s background and learning style, whether that means slowing down to strengthen fundamentals or moving quickly into more advanced material.
My goal as a tutor is to help students gain genuine confidence in their understanding, not just complete assignments. I focus on teaching students how to think through problems independently and how course material connects to real-world software and ML systems. In addition to academic tutoring, I am happy to provide guidance on computer science careers, internships, graduate school preparation, and industry expectations, as well as consult on applied ML or AI projects when appropriate.
