Ciao a tutti!
I am currently completing my Masters degree in Italian Studies through NYU after a year of studying in Florence, Italy. I graduated from Vassar College as an Italian major and studied in Bologna, Italy for both semesters of my junior year. I have previously worked as a composition and Italian tutor at Mercer County Community College. My other teaching experience includes an Environmental Education and Animal Behavior Internship at the Philadelphia Zoo as well as working as an English teaching assistant at an Italian middle school, as a camp counselor at a nature preserve, and as a reading and writing tutor for elementary school children. My goal when tutoring is for the students to feel un-intimidated and to make the learning experience as pleasant yet productive as possible.
I have a true love for Italian, and I hope that this love for the language can be conveyed to and perceived by the students. Ciao a tutti!

Elizabeth is a very nice and pleasant tutor. My son likes her very much as a tutor and she is working with him in Italian and so far he is doing very good. I am pleased with her knowledge in Italian.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am finishing up my Master's in Italian Studies, and I also majored in Italian in college. I lived and studied in Italy for a total of two years.
