I am a native German speaker, who grew up in Germany and lived several years in Switzerland; where I received an elementary teaching degree.
Additionally, I tutored in a writing center and I gained a lot of experience in writing development, as well as coaching people. In the past, I have taught elementary school children in an international school and in public schools. In Switzerland, I am licensed to teach children in most of the elementary school subjects, including English as a second language.
Moreover, I also taught adults in German as a second language and created holiday programs, as well as writing workshops for children. I am patient and can adapt quickly to teaching at different levels. Furthermore, I have a lot of teaching materials and knowledge of how to teach in a way that is fun to learn.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
