Monmouth University (Radio and Television)
Hi everyone! My name is Jackie. I recently graduated from college in May 2015 with a BA in Communication Radio/TV and a certification (minor) in Information Technology. I have always had a passion for entertaining others, whether it would be through performing as talent on television, a radio personality, a dancer, a singer, an actor, and overall a performer. I also have always had a passion for helping others. I have always been the person that my family and friends go to for advice or to help pick them up when they feel down.
In addition, I recently started a bullying prevention website. Through this website, I want to serve justice for bullying victims. I was a bullying victim myself for over 15 years and still get picked on today. The heart of my website is that people are able to submit their bullying stories, regardless of whether they are/were a victim, bystander, or even a bully. They can also ask me for advice if they wish. People have the option whether they want their stories and advice questions published to my website. I also have a blog on my website called "Perfectly Imperfect," which talks about why life, everyone, and both positive and negative situations are perfectly imperfect.
I have always had a knack for grammar and I am quite a perfectionist when it comes to it. I received perfect grades on all grammar exams and help edit numerous college essays (and other documents) for friends and family.
Spelling has been one of my top subjects since I was little girl. It came very naturally to me. I always scored perfect grades on spelling tests. I can spell words just by simply hearing the pronunciation of them.
I have had a passion for computers since Kindergarten. I have been learning all about them (both Microsoft and Apple products) since that age. In college, I minored in Information Technology and now have a certification in it. I learned how to work all Microsoft Office programs, HTML coding, web design, and more.
If you are struggling in computers, spelling, grammar, or even study skills, Spanish, and writing, I am here to help you. I graduated from college in May 2015, so I completely understand how tough it is to be a student who is having trouble in a certain subject area. Hi everyone! My name is Jackie. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
