It is satisfying to help someone solve a particular problem. It is even more satisfying, and fulfilling, to enable someone to solve an entire family of problems and to acquire a love of the subject. It is satisfying to help someone solve a particular problem. It is even more satisfying, and fulfilling, to enable someone to solve an entire family of problems and to acquire a love of the subject. In my tutoring experience over the last 5-6 years, this has been what I have learned to prioritize and, a few times, help achieve. While I was an undergrad, I was a tutor in and later the co-president of the chemistry tutoring organization, and was very heavily invested in not only helping students solve problems but sparking passion for the subject of chemistry through the development of a chemistry department journal. Currently, as a Ph.D candidate, teaching assistant, and volunteer tutor, I interact with students constantly in stressful moments, where they are struggling with their coursework and the subject matter. The few times I have been able to help students find passion for their subject still, have been my best experiences in academia. I hope to continue doing this to the best of my ability.

For the last 3 years, I have been a volunteer tutor for students of all of these subjects, tutoring students through the semester as well as one-off tutoring sessions. I have found and developed some tricks that help students cut through the "noise" that can sometimes cloud students of math.

I've been tutoring chemistry since my undergraduate years, and I have been a teaching assistant for 3, going on 4, semesters in graduate school. Similarly to math, I have some tricks for general chemistry that not only help with solving problems in chemistry, but are good points of reference for students to use to tackle problems across disciplines. I feel I can convey the sense of wonder at the level of understanding of the natural world that chemistry study can bring, while also preparing students well for future study in the sciences.

I have flexible hours, flexible meeting locations and I'm personally invested in your success! I hope I can help you have success in math or chemistry.
