I am a recent college graduate interested in tutoring students in elementary and middle school in any subject or provide homework help. I love working with children and have interned in a school where I taught in a multilevel classroom of children grades K-2. I have extensive experience with children having grown up with a younger sibling. Most of my professional experience comes from my having briefly worked full time in a multi-level K-2 classroom at Grant Elementary in Trenton, exposing me to students with a wide range of abilities and age ranges, so I am very flexible and open to students of all age levels.
My teaching philosophy is that students come first. This "children first" philosophy allows students to take charge of their learning so that they feel they have some control over how they learn, and they thrive when they are leading the discussion or activity. In my view, Learning should be a fun process. I do not believe that learning for the sake of learning is a good way to teach students. So I always try to have them learn the material in a way that they can digest easily.
