About Shiri

I am a third year medical student at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, NJ. I am part of a very competitive accelerated BA/MD program at Rutgers-RWJ which is allowing me to complete both my undergraduate and medical degrees in 7 years. I majored in biological sciences and chemistry at Rutgers University.

I speak English and Hebrew. I spent two years at Colgate-Palmolive Company conducting chemistry research and patenting twelve new compounds that I discovered. Rutgers also chose me for its very competitive exchange program where they sent me to China for a summer to conduct chemistry research for them at Jilin University. I recently took my medical school board exam known as USMLE Step 1, so I am extremely refreshed on my biology and biochemistry, in addition to my extensive background in chemistry.

I was one of two students chosen at my Rutgers University psychology class to hold review sessions for a class of 150 students. I also tutored high school and middle school students while in college. I'm very passionate about raising my students' grades while doing something that I love!

I have always been very interested in mathematics. I took AP Calculus BC in high school which allowed me to go straight into Calculus 3 in my first semester of college. I also took Linear algebra and Analytical Chemistry to enhance my math skills further. I have tutored middle school math before.

As a medical student, I have thoroughly studied the human body. For my board exam last month, I reviewed biochemistry and biology extensively, and ended up scoring very well. I also majored in biological sciences in undergrad, so I have a lot of experience in most biological fields.

I took USMLE Step 1 on October 16. I scored extremely well and I am now looking to go into dermatology. I am excited to help other students score just as well as I did.

I am a medical student who is well versed in the biological sciences and test prep. I also have an extensive background in chemistry and math. Feel free to contact me if you would like a driven and devoted tutor to help you raise your scores and grades!

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Biochemistry

In undergrad, I majored in biological sciences so I also have an extensive background in biochemistry. As a medical student, my studies have also focused a lot on biochemistry. I feel very confident in my biochemistry skills and knowledge, and I would love to help you succeed!

Genetics

I majored in biological sciences in undergrad, which included taking Genetics. I received an A in that class. I am currently a medical student so I have been studying genetics even more in depth for the past couple of years.

MCAT

I am part of an accelerated BA/MD program at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. I have extensive experience in both chemistry and the biological sciences. As a medical student, I have studied the MCAT information extensively. I look forward to helping you get into your dream medical school!

USMLE

I am a current medical student at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School taking part in the highly competitive Accelerated BA/MD program. I took USMLE Step1 on October 16, 2017 and scored extremely well. I am currently taking a research year so I have a lot of time to help you achieve a similar score on your Step exam.
