Hi All,
I'm interested in helping you, the student, learn in a simple and easy to understand way. I have tutoring experience from a math tutoring chain, as well as for a volunteering organization. I rely primarily on visual ways of teaching and try to relate concepts to their practical use in the real world. Hi All,
I'm interested in helping you, the student, learn in a simple and easy to understand way. I have tutoring experience from a math tutoring chain, as well as for a volunteering organization. I rely primarily on visual ways of teaching and try to relate concepts to their practical use in the real world. With more complex subjects, I focus on demonstrating patterns to students and helping them remember methods of solving problems through a talk-it-out method and a lot of practice problems.
As someone who has developed an interest and love for learning, I will work hard to foster that same interest in you. The first step in getting good at a subject is understanding how to approach and solve problems using intuition and common sense. This is where I can come in and help simplify and clarify concepts through concrete examples.
In an effort to help you understand my background, I can provide a short description of my academic experience. In high school, I was a part of a science & engineering magnet center where I took accelerated (AP level) courses in Calculus. I also studied Chemistry, Statistics, Computer Science, and Physics at the college level (AP) and achieved 5's on all of these exams. In college, I majored in Economics and minored in Mathematics. I achieved a 3.84 GPA.
Additionally, I have a quantitative masters degree (MSc Finance) from the London School of Economics, where I gained extensive experience with math, computer science, statistics, and finance.
Thanks and I look forward to working with you.
Regards,
Rohan
