I have been tutoring since I was in middle school and have had students ranging from elementary school students to PhD candidates (with topics including SAT, SSAT, statistics, psychology, elementary math, reading, etc). I have had great success with my students thus far! Most recently, I helped a student pass her statistics qualifying exam. I have two advanced graduate degrees (MS) in psychology and am currently working on a third (PhD). In addition to going to graduate school, I also teach undergraduates in subjects ranging from psychology to statistics. I have even recently taught an introductory thesis course for a university's honors program where I advised students across disciplines ranging from hard sciences to the humanities. I also conduct laboratory research and am a published neuroscientist.
I love and have always loved to teach. I am very interested in applying my knowledge of psychology and neuroscience to create the best approach to tutoring and studying. I am happy to tutor in statistics (including advanced, graduate level), psychology (including advanced topics at the graduate level), various math topics, literature, reading comprehension, editing, study skills, and computer skills. I can cover a wide variety of material! Please contact me if you have any questions or requests.

The way Lindsey explained the subject was very clear and straight to the point. The subject was a tough one but when Lindsey helped me with the SPSS problems, I began to have a clearer understanding of how to atenpt the problems.
Lindsey tutored me in Statistics. She is very knowledgeable and explained things very well. I understood more with her in an hour than I did in a month of classes.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I worked as a manager as well as on-air DJ at a nationally acclaimed and award winning radio station for 5 years. Additionally, I have a background in public presentation of research (both my own and summaries of other work) to audiences ranging from professionals to laymen. For a year, I taught a thesis preparation course in which I included how to articulately and professionally present work under various presentation settings. I have also recently won an award for best graduate research presentation at my field's annual conference.
