Our school district has a very competitive honors math program and so we were looking for someone with experience and expertise to tutor my son in algebra 1 and geometry. Ken was the perfect match. He quickly identified my son's weak spots and broke down the material in a way that made sense to him. He provided review material and texts that were rigorous and in line with our district's curriculum. Both my son and I are already feeling more confident about the coming school year.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
