My daughter was very happy with her first advanced sign language class with Chelsey and looks forward to many more.
My daughter is so happy learning with Chelsey. This week they learned fruits and veggies. They reviewed animals from last visit.
Chelsey makes it so easy for me, too. Flexible.
She has an easy going method of teaching sign language and is very knowledgeable and smart. She makes it fun to learn and I always look forward to my next lesson. Highly recommend her for any level.
I Love Chelsey! I am a student at UCC and she has gone through the same Sign Language program as I am going through now, so she knows what the program is like and what I need to learn. She lets me review what I'm not sure about, and even if it's something basic, she embraces it and goes slowly. She's bubbly and happy to help, and I can tell she loves what she does!
The Title says it all - it's hard to ask for more. Chelsey has also steered me to good ASL books and instuctional websites.
Chelsey is upbeat, optimistic, organized and focused. After my son Zack's initial session he has much more insight into the study techniques needed for improved comprehension of long reading passages from the SAT.
Hi, in my opinion, I have learned a lot in as very little time with Chelsey. She is very understanding, patient and with lots of knowledge. I would highly recommend her to anyone in need of a English tutor. I am proud to say she is the best. I am more comfortable with what I needed to learn and the way she has taught me, she gave me not only confidence but she also made it more fun.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have loved classical as well as modern literature my whole life, and I bring that joy to my tutoring. I am well-versed in almost all of the major Western literary works of any significance, and I enjoy teaching reading comprehension as well as literary analysis.
As a teacher, one must be good at proofreading papers, etc. I am gentle but clear when tutoring in this area, and I make it fun!
I am a full-time ASL interpreter in the public school system. I have also been freelancing for many years. I hold my degree in interpreting, and I have known ASL since I was 17. I have passed my written National Interpreter Certification exam. I was an ASL tutor through my college's tutoring program, and am a former high school ASL teacher as well.
