About John

Hi, I'm John. I have been helping LSAT students like you improve their scores for over 10 years. During this time, I have worked as a private tutor and an LSAT Instructor for both Kaplan and Blueprint Prep. Building on these experiences, I have synthesized several LSAT teaching systems into a highly effective private tutoring regimen.

In addition to full coverage of basic, intermediate and advanced LSAT techniques, my tutoring program integrates several highly effective principles of human learning. For instance, we'll use the concept of spaced repetition to schedule your individual skill assessments for maximum retention of important LSAT concepts. We'll also use Pareto's 80/20 principle to distill the LSAT into it's most digestible form, cutting away the fat to turn you into a lean, mean LSAT machine. These are just two of the many helpful methodologies that inform my teaching style.

Today's LSAT prep courses cost you thousands of dollars for a one-size-fits-all approach that is designed for the average student. As a result, these courses may spend too much or too little time covering the concepts that are wrong or right for you. I know. I used to teach these courses. However, by working privately with me, we can focus on the concepts you need to practice, and strip away those that you don't. This means you save time and money while getting the best possible level of LSAT preparation.

Please contact me if you would like to learn more about my program!

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

LSAT

I have over 10 years of experience teaching the LSAT as both a private instructor and as a classroom instructor at Kaplan and Blueprint. Over the years, I have synthesized my experience with various LSAT teaching systems into a single, effective private tutoring regimen that can help you achieve your best possible LSAT score!

I love seeing my students beat their expectations and score their absolute best on test day. I hope that you will give me the opportunity to help you realize your dream of going to a top law school!

I personally scored a 177 on the LSAT and won a John Henry Wigmore Scholarship to Northwestern University School of Law. Additionally, I have an undergraduate degree in Physics from Yale University.
