Kean University (Math Education P-12)
My name is Matthew. I have been a home tutor for 8 years now. Throughout my time teaching I have helped students find the confidence in their abilities and helped them improve their grades. I share my passion and love for math with all my students and I make it relatable to them so that they may enjoy it as well. I work with students of all ages and all subjects of math. I am graduating in December with a Secondary Math Education Bachelors Degree from Kean University cum laude and will begin my career as a teacher.
I specialize in all fields of math. I tutor ACT and SAT exams as well as elementary math, prealgebra, algebra, geometry, precalculus, calculus, and trigonometry. My goal is to challenge my students but not overwhelming to them. At the end of each session I will provide homework, and I will frequently give progress reports.
I am available for tutoring Monday-Friday from 9am-9pm and Saturday-Sunday from 7am-7pm and I can travel to students or meet them at a specified location. My base rate is $50/hr for in person lessons. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have tutored Middle School and High School Geometry for 8 years. Also I have taught Euclidean Geometry to College Students.
