I want to help you better understand the course material, enjoy the course, and achieve your desired grade!
I enjoy teaching math and science to middle and high school students. I tailor my tutoring sessions to maximize each student's understanding and progress in math and science. My goal for each student is for him/her to be able to understand the concepts and be able to apply them in class and on exams.
Once I have an idea where the student is, I tutor our future tutoring sessions to allow him/her to gain and demonstrate mastery of the course materials needed to have success in class.
I am currently tutoring Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Chemistry, and General Science to middle and high school students and college level introductory classes in those subjects.
My educational background is a BS (Chemistry major with Math and Physics minors) from Stevens Institute of Technology, a MS in Chemistry from Yale University and and MBA in Finance from Seton Hall University. Prior to becoming a tutor, I worked 36 years as a Research Chemist in the pharmaceutical industry in New Jersey. I want to help you better understand the course material, enjoy the course, and achieve your desired grade!

Randy has helped my daughter improve by 20 percentage points on her tests and quarterly exam in her Chemistry class. And now we are working on the same for Algebra. He's a great teacher.
Randy sat down with our son Andrew and was able to establish a wonderful rapport very quickly. Even in this 1st session they were able to accomplish everything that they set out to. We were impressed, and immediately scheduled our second session.
Randy understands the topic and the age group. He has been very supportive of my daughter and has made himself available for questions using texting.
Randy is an excellent tutor, my son who is eleven years old sat with him and worked on his algebra without any resistance, he remarked about his calm, and assured style when Randy left, and we loved him! Excellent tutor, does homework before he comes to tutor, and is conscientious and warm.
Randy is very patient, thorough and dedicated. My son likes him and says the lessons are helping him. I would recommend him for tutoring.
Randy helped my son who had very bad grades on previous tests achieve a 64/65 on his last test. He works well with my son
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
