Hi, I'm Alli! I recently graduated from Bates College as a member of Eta Sigma Phi with a BA in Classical and Medieval Studies and a minor in Geology. I recently moved to New Jersey from a small island off the coast of Maine to pursue a Master's degree in Library and Information Sciences at Rutgers. While in college I served as a TA for the geology department and I loved it. In the geology department I taught students complex concepts from physics and math as well as geology, and I assisted students with completing formal lab reports and other writing assignments. As a classical and medieval studies major I became very comfortable with writing and editing research papers in religion, history, philosophy, and archaeology. At Bates I also enjoyed working in the writing center and helping fellow students out with all manner of written assignments; from 20 page term papers, to chemistry reports, to short stories. I have also worked as a camp counselor teaching K-12 kids about team building, arts and crafts, and improving interpersonal skills. I believe my diverse education makes me an even better tutor. An interdisciplinary workload allows me to be a creative thinker, practical problem solver, and a well-rounded individual.

My tutoring lessons are structured around the needs of the individual student, as everyone learns in a different way. I try to make the learning experience as enjoyable as possible so that my students can come to love learning as much as I do.

If you have any questions about your science courses, would like help on that history report, or need some extra help in math class, I'm your gal! I'm very easy to reach and will respond quickly. I look forward to learning and working with you!
