I love to teach! Empowering students to rise to their highest potential is one of my greatest passions!
I graduated with a Bachelors degree from Rowan University in Elementary Education/Psychology in 1994 and hold a NJ Teaching Certificate for grades K - 8. I am also an attorney, licensed and in good standing in both PA and NJ. I graduated from Rowan cum laude and was honored at graduation from Widener University School of Law in 1998 with an Outstanding Student Service Award for my work as Editor-In-Chief of the law school newspaper. Over the year following my graduation from Rowan, I was a Substitute Teacher in several NJ schools and worked as an assistant manager in retail. In the fall of 1995, I started law school at Widener University. I practiced law full-time between 1998 and 2008 and then taught business law for seven years for Rowan's Department of Management/Entrepreneurship. The course focused on legal issues that arise at all levels in a business setting, including torts, employment law, intellectual property, administrative law, ethics, contracts, criminal law, civil procedure, etc. I am now working on legal cases as an independent contractor and tutoring. I am proficient in all aspects of the law and prepared to help with all subjects that are part of the law school curriculum.
I have always had a great rapport with my students. My goal, as a teacher and as a tutor, is to help students achieve success at every tutoring session and then to expand those successes, both in their regular classroom and in their personal lives.
For college students needing help with business law or law students needing help with your courses, I will request a copy of your Syllabus up front, if you have one, to get a sense of the concepts your class is focusing on. I would appreciate a brief summary of where you believe your weaknesses are and what, specifically, you feel you need help with so that I can plan appropriately for our first lesson.
I would really enjoy the opportunity to help you! If you have any questions or want to schedule a lesson, please send me a note! I look forward to hearing from you! I love to teach! Empowering students to rise to their highest potential is one of my greatest passions!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
