I particularly enjoy working with students with learning difficulties (i.e., LD, ADHD) and have been able to help students find success at all levels. I also have experience working with college-bound and college students.
I am willing to work closely with the student's teachers and school to ensure the outcomes dovetail with their in-class goals. I strive to ensure the students are challenged but not overloaded. I will typically assign homework after each session and will regularly provide feedback to students and parents. I am experienced working with home-bound students.
My availability is fairly flexible. Generally I am available daily from 9AM to 7PM, although special arrangements may be made, as necessary. I would appreciate 8-hour notice for cancellations. I can travel to a teaching location.
I have taught English/Literature at the Secondary level for over thirty years.
