My name is Jacqueline. I am a French born American citizen who has been living in New Jersey for the last 17 years.
I love to teach and train people. This is what I do during the day as a fashion sourcing manager. I have to teach factories and subordinates procedures. I am excellent at breaking down problems step by step
During my long career, I have taught family, friends and colleagues French and English languages. My method is simple:
- review and explain the subject matter.
- give examples.
- develop written and interactive tests.
I am presently a weekend French Instructor in a private school. I teach French culture, language and grammar. I incorporate songs that children can relate to.
I have patience, dedication and energy to push students to do better.
Try me. You will not regret it.

For my level of French, Jackie has turned out to be a great fit. After my second lesson, I already feel like my ear is better trained and I can construct very basic sentences. Because she is from Paris, I can see how my pronunciation will improve and my confidence in speaking will increase.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
