B.A. Rutgers Univesity (Neuroscience)
I am proud to be an alumnus of Rutgers University, main campus. My passion for mathematics, and science, and literature, lit a fire in me; one that culminated in the "logical" degree with a B.S. in Advanced Cell Biology and Neuroscience...(pre-medicine). During my Junior year as a student I began to study for the MCATs, (med school admission test,). I did a self study along with an accredited MCAT tutoring course. During the course, we would take full versions of the test for practice. Scores were tracked, and it was not long before I was offered a position as a paid tutor for the accredited school. It is said one does not truly understand something until they can teach it to someone else.
I scored well on the MCAT (95th percentile) and it wasn't until my application process that I decided to pursue a drastically new direction; a career that cares for people in an entirely different way...Personal Financial Services. This is the origin of my passion for teaching. Being that positive figure...a Coach (along with my FINRA and SEC securities licenses.) my job was that of a teacher. I would diagnose, analyze, and problem solve to give my clients and their families piece of mind. Most important to me was the education I provided families with. My purpose was to take a complex topic and make it digestible through analogies, metaphors, etc, so that a 9 year old child could understand.
My years of advanced college level math, along with actual SAT Math tutoring experience (both within a classrooom and private sessions) has a track record with a quantitative measure of student improvement, and many happy parents.
As a B.S. of Advanced Cell Biology & Neuroscience graduate, the years of Genetics, Cell Bio, Biochemisty, Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Physics....and the "dreaded" class that causes 66% students to change their major...ORGANIC Chemistry (strangely becoming one of my favorite courses throughout all of college. I would say I have Science pretty covered.
From those who feel they are hopeless as a scholar, to those wanting to push themselves to be better, know a little bit more than they did before, I encourage you to reach out to me.
The wise person understands just how much we do not know, that we do not know.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Rutger's University; Bachelor of Science in Cell Biology and Advanced Neuroscience.
Not only am I extremely versed in the subject matter, but I am also an experienced private tutor for many advanced topics. My style of teaching will consist of helping you to understand the fundamentals, which will lead to you learning less through memorization, and more through application of the principles we will become rock solid on. I will challenge you, I will ask you questions that will help you SELF-discover the answers to the knowledge you seek. When I can help you discover solutions on your own through leading you through some questions, your likelihood of remembering and retaining it will be unprecedented. My track record with past students struggling with these topics before our sessions, compared with their thorough understanding of the subject material after our meetings, is day and night.
