As a social worker, specifically working with adolescents, I understand the unique needs that high school students have in feeling supported in order to achieve to their highest potential. I also know that high schools and colleges are more demanding and competitive than ever before and bright students need academic and emotional supports to successfully navigate the stressful world of high-school and college!
As a professor, working with graduate students in two prestigious graduate programs, I have a unique understanding of what universities seek in selecting and retaining the highest quality students. I am detail oriented, and really enjoy helping students to be able to express their knowledge and experience, in both written and verbal formats. I think writing is a skill that can be learned, and improved upon, across the lifespan. I seek to help others improve their understanding of subject materials, and their ability to express their understanding, of what they have learned, in written form.
I am passionate and dedicated, to helping others succeed. To me, there is no greater reward, than helping other people to reach their fullest potential.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
