My name is Andrea. I am a professional ballroom and Latin dance teacher. I compete professionally in International Latin. The competitive circuit allows us to compete around the US and the world, and represent the USA in our specific style of dance. I am certified in beginner, social, pre-bronze and adv bronze level. I am currently working on continuing my certification for final bronze, silver and gold level. I work with children starting at 8 years old, up to seniors. I work with adults, wedding couples, competitive students who wish to compete at either local or national competitions. I also enjoy working with non competitive students who simply wish to deepen their understanding and love for dance.
I enjoy teaching because I love sharing what I do professionally with others. Dance awakens you and deepens your understanding of this particular form of art.
You are able to have fun, be emotional, be loud, be heard, and feel challenged! Dancing is very educational because you are able to become aware of your body and learn how to build fitness and physical and mental stamina.
I also work a lot with posture and function work of the body and joints.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach me.
Thank you and good luck!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
