A native of Togo, French speaking West Africa, I have studied throughout my formal education in French all the way to earn two masters' degrees (The first in Adult Education and Curriculum Development, and the second in Business Management). In fact I consider French as my first language as my proficiency is higher in French than any other languages I have acquired over the years.
I have also been a French as a second language lecturer both for a large classroom and for individual students (age range: 10- 55) and taught for many years American missionaries relocating to French speaking Africa with great success. Many of my adult students also were business and church leaders from various English speaking countries in Africa.
I have been known to use very creative methods to help my students develop a better accent and master French vocabulary and grammar through one-on-one approaches using various audio-visual tools.
For me teaching is a passion, and having learned English much later in life and now working in corporate America, I have even developed a much stronger sympathy for French learners from other language backgrounds.
