I am taking classes at the Middlesex County College but Italian language is my native language.
I am Italian and I moved to the USA at the end of 1994. After my divorce, in 2007, I decided to go back to school where I am studying Liberal Arts in order to continue my education at Rutgers University and become an Italian translator.
Three years ago, I took an Italian test at the College that I passed very well and showed the highest level of my language. I have a little bit of tutoring experience, but now I want to devote more time to teaching. I, also, like to involve the students with methods that can be applied to every day life: examples and visualization. I will tutor my language to students who want to learn and improve it, but especially to the students who have passion for it. I speak Italian on a daily basis and I am proficient in it. This is the Romance language that I love, the reason why I decided to teach it, and that allows you to appreciate the beauty, and the history of the country. Maria has knowledge and passion for the Italian language, engaging the student with conversation and encouraging with a lot of patience to keep talking in Italian.
I would recommend Maria to anyone who'd like to improve their Italian and take it to the next level.
Thank you, Sharon, I really love my language that I like teaching to motivated students, like you.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I believe I could be qualified to tutor ESL because I took a few ESL classes where I learned the type of problems that, learning the English language,a person can meet. I have been interviewed, in this matter, by Middlesex County College with a satisfactory result. I love languages and taking ESL classes I improved the English one that I am confident to tutor.
