Hello Learners and Parents,
I am a Special Education teacher for the Egg Harbor Township School District. I currently teach English, but have taught other subjects as well, including History (World and U.S), Geography, Economics, and Religion courses. I have also taught reading, writing, and phonics through the Wilson "Fundations" learning system. I have a Bachelor's degree in Composite Social Studies Education, and a Master's Degree in Special Education. I have taken Master's levels classes on teaching reading, math, and other subjects. I am familiar with Common Core standards and creating effective, yet flexible lesson plans related to those standards. I am also familiar with standardized test prep (PARCC, SAT, etc), and diagnostic testing related to various disabilities.
I have lived in Atlantic County my entire life, and I currently reside in Mays Landing with my wife, three sons, one daughter, and my dog. I enjoy teaching and instruction and interacting with students of all ages. As a state certified teacher, I have exemplary credentials. Please contact me if you feel my qualifications will meet your academic needs.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
