I went back to school in 2000 to complete my education. In the next ten years, I graduated summa cum laude from Monmouth University with a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology. Subsequent to that degree, I immediately continued my educational process with a Master's Degree in Professional Liberal Arts with a concentration in Anthropology and Archaeology. In between my two graduate degrees, I spent six weeks participating in an excavation in Israel as a graduate student. The course was offered by Hebrew University. Upon my return from Israel I continued my education and graduated with a Master's Degree, with distinction, in World History.
I am well versed in a variety of subjects. Since, my graduations are so recent, I am able to tutor with a recent proficiency in all liberal arts subjects. I am an adjunct professor at Brookdale and Bergen Community Colleges where I teach Cultural Anthropology, Archaeology, History, and Human Geography. My philosophy about teaching is the importance of a positive teacher/student relationship and available personality. As such, my students feel quite comfortable asking for help and guidance through the courses they take with me. Additionally, I believe my students are my students for life and not just limited to the time they are in my classroom.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I studied Hebrew on an Ulpan program. This is a type of program with intensive study of the language: 6 hours a day for 6 days a week for 6 months. I think in Hebrew, in that I do not translate from English to Hebrew when I am using the language. I have lived in Israel for a year and taken numerous trips back and forth with no need of a translator. Often, I am asked to translate English to Hebrew or Hebrew to English.
