In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have taught acting and drama for over 20 years at N.Y.U., James Madison University and currently at AMDA. I have coached auditions that helped students get accepted at Julliard, N.Y.U., Boston Conservatory and other top schools. I have directed over 20 college productions around the U.S. and professional productions in New York, Chicago and Washington, D.C. I love coaching both monologues and musical theatre pieces for students as well as professionals. I am honest and no-nonsense but also very positive and upbeat. I love to teach!
