Thank you for viewing my profile! My name is Glenn and I’d love to work with you to meet your academic goals.
Mathematics is my forte and my passion, but I find nothing more fulfilling than helping others and making a difference in students’ lives. I thrive in the role of mentoring others and in breaking down complex math problems to aid with comprehension.
I received my B.A. in Secondary Education in Mathematics from The College of New Jersey in 2011, and am certified to teach mathematics from grades 7 through 12. I am currently in the midst of applying for an Applied Mathematics Ph.D. program, with the option to minor in (Bio) statistics.
I have also taken many standardized tests, including the SAT, ACT, Praxis, and GRE, and have achieved proficiency in all of them. As a result, I can offer my services to tutor mathematics and writing for preparation of all these standardized tests.
I have a plethora of teaching experiences ranging from middle school all the way to the university level for pre-service teachers. I feel that this breadth of experience has helped me become not only a better teacher, but also a better listener. As a tutor, I am committed to doing anything I can to help my students learn and achieve their goals.
Many students simply want to know the answer or the solution process, but I have found it is best to outline a general strategy to solve a problem, and help the student from there. Regardless of the subject matter, my goal is to help the student not only become proficient in mathematics, but also hone effective study skills for all academic areas. As a result of my efforts, the students I have tutored in the past have increased their grades by as many as three letter grades over a period of four months.
So let’s get started! I look forward to speaking with you and helping you to master your mathematical skills.
I’d be happy to send a resume upon request. Thank you for viewing my profile! My name is Glenn and I’d love to work with you to meet your academic goals.

Glenn is an excellent tutor who helps his students by teaching them many ways to solve a problem. This method ensured my daughter had confidence going into the exam. He is very personable and I would recommend him to any parent trying to help their son/daughter to get a better score on ACT or SAT.
Glenn is a helpful, wonderful tutor. Because of him, my daughter has made great progress in geometry recently scoring a 100 on her chapter test, something that wasn't possible before.
Working with Glenn I feel I have learned more than other tutors I had from school. He makes me want to learn. I feel I can go into Calculus and do well.
Glenn is knowledgable, helpful and accommodating. He has both practical and academic experience which is perfect for a student in need of assistance at any level of schooling. I'm at the Graduate level and his assistance great.
I have heard from my daughter only positive comments. He will still keep in touch after they are finished through email if they need help on anything. She also told me he was fun so he did not bore her during her studies and she learned better that way because she paid more attention. He was very patient with her as well.
He did not complete the job, left us in the middle of the road, we do not know where we go, my son's test is so close, it is late to start with somebody else. He caused big damage to my son test preparation, he stopped answering the phone when my son tried to reach him, in general he is not responsible and you cannot depend or rely on him.
I am very sorry for that. Unfortunately, at the time, two very close family members passed away within a two week time time span. I am usually very responsible and motivated in both my work and studies. If you have any further questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact me. I am willing to address any concerns that you may have. Thank you.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I first took Calculus AB as a senior in high school, and not only obtained one of the highest grades in the class, but also scored highly on the AP exam. I have taken several classes in the Calculus sequence and beyond, such as Ordinary Differential Equations and Complex Analysis at the Master's level, and received an A in both courses.
Being able to convey this material to students is equally important too, and I have tutored students of all grade levels, both in high school and college for this subject.
A background check for Glenn was ordered on 6/22/15 and is in pending status. A tutor will have a “pending” status while the background check is processed and/or evaluated. This status covers 3 situations: 1) a background check is being processed, 2) a background check has been completed, but the tutor is reviewing it and has the right to dispute its accuracy or completeness, or 3) the person has a pending arrest/charge or deferred adjudication. Regardless of the reason, if a person has had a pending status for 30 days, he or she will be removed from the website.
