Ramapo College (Pre-Law and History)
I have a double major - one in Pre-Law and the other in History, so I will be graduating with two Bachelor's Degrees. I will also be graduating from the Honors Program. I am in the Honor Society at Ramapo College because of my 3.6 GPA. I am also a member of the Pre-Law international fraternity and have been invited to become a member of the Political Science Honors Society based on my GPA. I will be on the Dean's list a fourth time this semester. I am someone who gets along with everyone, no matter what their age. People tell me how intelligent I am, witty, and I also have a good (though dry) sense of humor.
I have been a tutor at my High School for the past few months. I also feel I could do well at tutoring because I am very passionate and love the subjects I would like to help students with, whether it is English composition and English Literature (I was an AP student in high school in these subjects and took the AP exam and got a 4 on each of them). I am also passionate about American History and European History. I took the AP classes and exams for both of these subjects and got a 5 on each of them. Because of my scores, I am an AP Scholar with Honors. I also love geography and am only one of four students of all students, who have ever taken this course in high school, whose name is on a plaque in the geography teacher's office for having filled in all 100 countries on a world map without even a list of the names of the countries.
In high school, my teachers always told me what a wonderful writer I am and what a great command of the English language I have considering I wasn't born in the U.S. One of my professors in college even told me that I am the only student she has ever complimented on their writing. I have two book cases full of books, which include The Iliad and the Odyssey, Aristotle, Plato, Rene Descartes, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Friedrich Nietzsche, Complete Works of William Shakespeare, Mark Twain and books about Russian history, Italy (Ancient Rome and the Caesars), German history, European history, and, of course, American history.
I believe I would be a good tutor and would be able to help many students with their English classes, their history classes and with writing essays, and I hope I will be given that opportunity. Please contact me and see for yourself what I have to offer. I have a double major - one in Pre-Law and the other in History, so I will be graduating with two Bachelor's Degrees. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
