Bio

I attended a magnet high school, where I developed a strong background in science and technology. After graduating, I moved to Germany for a year on a government scholarship, where I taught English to students between the ages of 10 and 18. I then attended Middlebury College, where I majored in linguistics, German, and teaching. I attended a magnet high school, where I developed a strong background in science and technology. After graduating, I moved to Germany for a year on a government scholarship, where I taught English to students between the ages of 10 and 18. I then attended Middlebury College, where I majored in linguistics, German, and teaching. I worked in graphic design for a few years to satisfy my artistic side, and then decided that I wanted to combine my passions for health and education by becoming a doctor and working to teach my patients how to take good care of themselves.

To start my journey in medicine, I worked as a researcher at Weill Cornell Medical College and volunteered as an EMT. I then completed my pre-med coursework at the University of Vermont while working at UVM as a lung injury researcher. I am currently third year medical student. I love this field which demands that I am a scientist and a humanitarian every day. I really miss teaching, though. I currently teach German to a high school student, and it's always a highlight of my week.

I love teaching and have been teaching for years. I taught a critical thinking course at my high school while I was a student there, and taught German during college, both in classroom settings and one-on-one. I have taught many subjects since. My specialties are writing, grammar, and English; reading comprehension; German; the core sciences - biology, chemistry, and physics; and critical thinking and study skills.

Because of my background in education and my varied teaching experiences, I truly appreciate different students' learning styles and unique strengths. In addition to helping my students improve in specific areas of study, I work to equip them with critical thinking and reasoning skills that will benefit them in every realm of their lives.

If you think I sound like a good fit, please do get in touch. As I am new on WyzAnt, I will happily provide references. I look forward to working with you!

I attended a science and technology high school, where I became a "fluent" user of Photoshop, utilizing the program in everything from school projects to yearbook editing. I freelanced as a graphic designer during college, helping local companies design logos or revamp their websites. I then worked for two years as a marketing manager and graphic designer for a small company. I have successfully tutored friends in Photoshop, and look forward to helping students become well-versed in this extremely useful program.
