I believe in the constructivist approach to teaching children. In this approach students are constructing their own knowledge based on their prior experiences and their everyday lives. As such, this requires me have knowledge of my students and implement lessons that are differentiated. This framework allows for children to develop their writing and reading skills by freeing them to explore both the conventions and craft of writing and decoding and comprehension in ways that are personally meaningful to them. Utilizing this approach all of my students have flourished. I have found that multisensory methods like Orton Gillingham, Wilson Reading, and Touch Math implemented within this framework beneficial for students.

For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
