Hi! My name is Meredith and I currently teach 5th grade in Jefferson Township. I have been teaching since 2006 and have had a great deal of experience teaching primarily 4th and 5th grade students. I also have experience with NJ Ask prep. I love what I do. I'm very articulate and creative I think that is very important in helping to keep students engaged and successful! Some tutoring techniques that are helpful are using outlines for writing or reading assignments and math provide a step by step to how to answer math problems and grasp math concepts. I hope to hear back to further discuss my experience and hope that I would make a good tutor for your child. I am also available for homework help, studying for tests and projects.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been teaching since 2006. I currently teach 5th grade general education. I am also certified in special education. I attended Fairleigh Dickinson University for my masters in teaching and attended Kean University for my special education certification.
As an educator for the past 10 years I have had the opportunity to work with students at all different educational needs and as educator it is my job to provide the best learning environment in order to allow them to succeed. I am extremely organized. As a classroom teacher I provide a variety of different types of learning tools that allow for my students to succeed. I use study guides for tests as well as graphic organizers. Graphic organizers allow for my students to organize information that will allow students to learn the key information needed for tests.
