New York University (psychology)
I am a native French speaker who grew up in Paris and has lived the past 20 years in the United States. I studied both in France and in the states. I went to college at George Washingon University, Princeton University, and finally received my degree in psychology from NYU in New York where I lived in and worked in French/American company. My minor in college was French literature and poetry. You can be secure that with me you will study both the spoken French, which is the most useful when traveling to France of course, and also the more "romantic" , literature and formal French which comes in handy if you intend to live more permanently in France or if you need it for business, leisure or further study of the language. With my teaching skills, you will have a complete knowledge of French which will enable you to speak fluidly and comfortably in any situation, be it a formal or an informal conversation.
I have been teaching my 11 year old son French since his birth in Buffalo, NY and people are constantly amazed at his fluency and cannot believe he was actually born here as he has no accent whatsoever! He often gets complimented on how easily he can switch between English and French without any effort!
So whether you are looking to polish a good base in French, learn from scratch or study French in preparation for an upcoming trip to France, you can count on me to teach you the proper pronunciation, grammar and of course spoken, day-to-day French.
Please don't delay this great opportunity to learn from a truly dedicated French native speaker any longer and call me so we can discuss a detailed plan of study for you.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am a fluent native speaker, with experience with one on one tutoring with a mastery of French literature.
I am a 200 hr yoga alliance certified yoga teacher. I received my yoga certification in January 2006 from YogaWorks In NYC. I have been teaching private, semi-private and group yoga classes since then, at gyms and wellness centers, at my home and also on occasion in people's homes. After 8 years of teaching and 16 years of practicing yoga, I am a qualified instructor that gives attention to proper sequencing, people's needs (physical and emotional) and levels of practice. I always tailor/customize my classes to the students I have in front of me so my approach is not a cookie cutter one. I draw my experience from various schools of yoga including power, ISHTA, and Ashtanga yoga. My classes always include the spiritual, the physical and the mental elements so the practice feels synchronized and integrated which is the goal of any well executed and well taught yoga class. So whether you are new or have an established yoga practice and are looking for a more personalized approach, let's work together to create a yoga plan that will propel you forward to your next step on your yoga journey !
