Monmouth University (English)
I have tutored privately, and as needed, since 2008, in subjects ranging from basic mathematics, to writing and reading. I graduated from Monmouth University with a Bachelor degree in Liberal Arts, minor in Anthropology, and extensive courses in history. Now, I teach High School English from College Prep level courses to Honors courses, grades nine through eleven.
What I love most about tutoring and teaching is seeing students reach their potential. Every student is capable of excelling in an area; however, sometimes the approach of material can leave students feeling as if they are lacking in the proper tools needed to do well. With tutoring, I can provide a more focused lesson, due to the one on one environment, which allows all of my knowledge, skills, and teaching to be directly received by the student.

Through previous experience has given me expert patience and eagerness for others to do well.

Teaching is my other passion, because without the distribution of knowledge, our future is bleak. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
