Please allow me to introduce myself, my name is Anthony S. I recently graduated from Georgian Court University and have obtained my Master of Education and school counseling certification. I also had the opportunity to work as a school counselor intern for the Lakewood School District in both the elementary and secondary levels. My time spent there has significantly provided me with the experience and professional tools needed to facilitate the most efficient educational environment for all students and perform the required tasks necessary to thrive as a school counselor.
I have gained extensive knowledge regarding specific tasks and responsibilities the position entails. While there I worked on numerous 504 Plans, was a member of the IRS team, held numerous individual and group counseling sessions, worked on student scheduling, and assisted in the creation and implementation of numerous programs. Some of these programs include a district wide career counseling assembly and the creation of groups for students with a wide variety of problems. I also consider myself an expert on the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act. I was a member of the anti-bullying school safety team, hold two HIB certificates, and created and conducted the HIB training for the faculty and staff at Lakewood Middle School. Moreover, I am extremely technologically proficient having been the co-creator and developer of anti-bullying software for a company. I have also utilized and have become skilled in educational technologies such as Smartboards and Naviance.
Following an examination of my credentials, one can see I have a passion for working with children and adolescents. With my knowledge and skills I can provide an individual with a positive educational environment for while working cooperatively with their family to promote their academic, social, and ethical needs. Please feel free to contact me to discuss in detail my abilities and passion for assisting students. Thank you for your time and consideration.
