I have a Postgraduate degree in Actuarial Science and experience in Actuarial work which are heavily based on Mathematics and Statistics. I am a Member of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and the Actuarial Society of South Africa.
I enjoy utilizing my academic background to tutor and mentor students and find it very fulfilling seeing them progress. I have tutored Maths, Science and Art to high school students as well as Statistics to college students. I tutor Mathematics students from 7th grade to College and am open to small groups of students.
I am very pleasant and patient, taking each lesson at the student's pace. My method of tutoring is to explain the material clearly with examples. Once the student has gained a good comprehension on the topic, I let them work through examples, guiding them until they are confident to tackle further problems alone for homework. I like to help the students get to the point where they have a solid understanding of the fundamentals of the subject so they will be able to tackle any problems that come their way, giving them the tools to progress further.
With increased confidence in the subject, students are more enthusiastic and driven to succeed. Don't delay. Contact me to schedule a lesson. I have a Postgraduate degree in Actuarial Science and experience in Actuarial work which are heavily based on Mathematics and Statistics. I
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
