“**I keep asking myself, "how did we find such a GREAT tutor?"**”

I am looking for college students to tutor in daytime. Catch me now before the end of the semester rush.

I have both a BA in Mathematics and an MS in Statistics from Rutgers University. I have been tutoring math since 1991 and statistics since 2003. I also have my Certificate of Eligibility for Secondary School Mathematics from the

When my daughter got back to school after an extended absence, it didn't take but a moment to decide how to get her caught up with the class. Contact Mike. He understood the situation and wasted no time in scheduling a tutoring session. He is reliable, uses the entire hour productively, and according to my 16 year old he explains the concepts in a way that is easy to understand. He even comes prepared with some of his own materials. We are REALLY happy that we found him!!!

Michael is patient; knows the subject matter well and is a great teacher. Algebra, Geometry, Trig ...and more to go ....!

I gain a high level of confidence when Mike explains difficult to understand statistics concepts. I struggle learning statistics on my own but Mike is my go to person to learn and get through this difficult class.

We were extremely happy that we started Precalc with Mr. O. As soon as the class got over, we could see our daughter coming out with big smiles as if she is ready to take on more challenges.

Michael is extremely helpful and it really good at explaining theorems which helps you understand the full picture a lot better. He is so much better than my professor at teaching me what I learn in lecture and actually feel like I learn way more from him than I ever do from my professor. Furthermore he is really flexible and respectful of my time and things like that. He also has a really good price so overall hes a really awesome tutor and I recommend him highly to anyone looking for a tutor. Oh and another good thing about him is that if you don't happen to fully understand something when he first explains it he always knows how to show you in different ways how to understand it which in turn gives me a better idea of the bigger picture.

Michael O. is very patient, Methodical and a great tutor. Our kids really like his style of tutoring. he takes time to make them understand the subject emphasizing on the right techniques.

He is very flexible and accommodating. Very patient and makes sure you get it before he moves on. Works with my child and encourages her to excel. Always on time and well prepared.

This is our 2nd year with him.

ACT Math, Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have a BA in Mathematics and an MS in Statistics from Rutgers University. With my MS degree, I had a concentration in biostatistics including:

Biostats I - Observational Studies

Biosttas II - Clinical Trials

Categorical Data Analysis

Survival Analysis

Survey Sampling

For my 10 classes (30 credits), I graduated with a 3.2/4.0 GPA.

As you can see from my profile, I have my undergraduate degree in Mathematics and my graduate degree in Statistics. My undergraduate education included a class in ordinary differential equations and differential equations used in my Calculus classes.

In my years as an undergraduate, I took many classes in discrete math and math modeling. Some of the classes I took were:

Calculus 1

Calculus 2

Calculus 3 (Multivariate Calculus)

Differential Equations

Advanced Calculus

Intro to Linear Algebra

Linear Algebra, Abstract Algebra

Theory of Probability

Theory of Statistics

Combinatorial Theory

Functions of A Complex Variable

2 Mathematical Models classes, Graph Theory Class

I had 2 semesters of linear algebra as an undergrad when I earned my BA in Mathematics. Then, I used it extensively when I earned my MS in Statistics.

I studied probability extensively during my work towards my BA in Mathematics and my MS in Statistics. I have worked with co-workers and private students in this field.
