Hi there! My name is Shruti and I love learning, and teaching what I learn to the people around me. In the past, I’ve tutored 5th, 6th, and 7th graders in English & math and have helped edit essays for English classes as well as college applications. In addition to tutoring middle school, I teach the Hindi language to 5-10 year olds during Sunday schools and tutor pre-K and Kindergarten children!
I love working with children and believe in providing the right discipline and tools to them at a young age so they can establish the right habits that will prove successful throughout their lives. The most rewarding experience is working with kids at the beginning of the year and seeing how much they are able to accomplish throughout the year. The pride they feel in how much they have learned is wonderful!
I currently work in financial services and enjoy doing math, but other that in a professional setting, I have tutored elementary school kids in their math assignments.
I have reviewed and edited many essays for English classes and college essays, and currently work on creating and editing financial research reports, which require a great deal of grammatical precision.
I have tutored elementary school kids in math and English and enjoy it very much!
In addition to having knowledge of both math and English, I have prior experience working with a diverse group of children (elementary school). I value patience and persistence and promise to have patience with kids to teach them persistence in their learning! Hi there! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
