New York University (Master's)
I graduated summa cum laude from New York University. Teaching language is not only my major but also my interest, where I can always find my passion and confidence. I have three-years of tutoring experience in China. Two years ago I was admitted to NYU with a score of 108 on the TOEFL iBT (listening IBT27, reading IBT28, speaking IBT27, writing IBT26 with a maximum score of 30 for each section). During studying at NYU, I got lots of opportunities to observe and assist teaching at schools in the New York area. I can't wait using what I've learned from my experience as a pretty successful language learner and a passionate language teacher to stimulate and help more and more language learners to develop their overall language comprehension skills (reading, listening, writing and speaking) to a much higher level so as to meet their needs in their study, job and daily life.
I'm specialized in tutoring Chinese and English to all ages and all language proficiency levels. Also I am good at making other subjects (e.g. Math, Science, Culture Identity, etc) accessible to English and Chinese Language learners.
I've got a score of 96 out of 100 on the Mandarin Level Test and obtained the first class certificate, which means I can speak very high standard Mandarin without any accents and mistakes. Also I'am good at public speaking and writing. I have won many speech and composition contests in China.
I've got a score of 108 on the TOEFL iBT. I'am good at teaching Grammar.
I'm generally available for tutoring everyday from 9:30 am to 9:30 pm and I can travel to students or meet them online. My base rate is $70/hour for in-person lessons and $40/hour for on-line lessons. You'are welcome to contact me to schedule time and place and for more details.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
