About Marc Antoine

I am currently working as a substitute teacher for Essex County Board of Education. I graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and an associate’s degree in science from Essex County College.

My passion for tutor began in college. I was hired as a work study to assist students in algebra, geometry, trigonometry and basic calculus. As I helped my peers to improve their grades, I also increased my knowledge from their feedbacks. This experience allows me to view tutoring as a learning process for both parties.

I speak and write French fluently; I received my primary and secondary education in a francophone country. As a native French speaker, I’m enthusiastic to share linguistic knowledge to those who want to improve their French speaking and writing. Whether you are a novice or an advanced learner, I’m able to apply concepts of language acquisitions to help you master the language.

I have worked with special need students and helped them to improve their grades. My methods of academic achievement consist of assisting students to organize their study plans, explaining subjects such as mathematics and French in clear and simple ways, and encouraging students to become independent learners. I am passionate about higher learning, and I am dedicated to helping students to excel academically. If you are looking for a tutor, feel free to contact me.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
