Rutgers (Finance and Economic)
I can definitely help students with preparing for the CPA exam. And I am also able to help students with regards to accounting and auditing needs.
If you're struggling with the CPA, I understand your pain, and can definitely bring your studying to the next level. My approach to the exams is taking a practical and common-sense approach, by providing real life examples. I believe this approach is much more effective, compared to memorizing.
My career has been 5 years of progressive accounting and auditing experience with a well-known accounting firm. My clients include Fortune 100 brand names in the electronics, automotive, and technology industries, in which I lead multi-dimensional teams. I am also a national instructor to staff on accounting and audit methodologies.
My undergrad degree is from Rutgers double majoring in Finance & Economics. I obtained my MBA in accounting from Rutgers as well. I passed the NJ CPA exam in 2013 through self-studying. And I passed all 4 parts of the exam in 8 weeks with a 90% average (all passed on the first try).

Robert is a great tutor who was able to come up with real-world examples to help me understand high-level material. I no longer feel like I need to memorize formula after formula for the CPA since Robert's explanations and examples have enabled me to remember them. Robert was happy to work for a longer time period than I had anticipated we would need until I was finished asking my questions, which I really appreciated. He also threw some questions at me unexpectedly, to make sure I was understanding the material. Also, we used an online platform for our session and it worked great (we were able to work together as if we were in the same room)! I am looking forward to working with Robert again soon.
He did a very good job teaching me abstract concepts that I struggled with. Def would recommend to other cpa students.
From availability to ease of explanation, Robert is an outstanding tutor who has helped me gain a greater understanding of both accounting and finance. He not only provides step-by-step lessons that both focus on the student's understanding, but also the student's ability to apply that understanding to homework and everyday examples once the tutoring session is complete. He makes a concentrated effort to ensure the student leaves each session better than when he or she first sat down. He has been a pleasure to work with, always easy to talk to, available for any questions asked during or not during a session, and very aware of what the student most wants to gain from each session and course. I highly recommend him for anyone seeking a tutor in accounting or finance.
Robert was a big help with the Regulation section of the CPA exam. He met with me once to twice a week; sometimes for two hours at a time. He would let me dictate the areas I wanted to focus on while still providing great tips on areas to concentrate on. He also provided many useful study tools for me to enhance my studying outside of our lessons. Meeting with Robert definitely helped me pass. Recently, he has been getting busier so the sooner you reach out the better.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
