I have an extensive history in technology and currently work for a large job search engine in NYC.
My technical background includes everything from working for an on-call computer service company where I supported technical infrastructures for small to medium sized businesses and homes. In my current role, I work with clients analyzing their data with Excel using everything from VBA, Macros, Pivot Tables and Charts to straight forward tables. I've always loved numbers and how to analyze it and present it in new ways.
I've been a guest speaker at my alma mater numerous times and given presentations to groups ranging from 10-50 people. I develop and work within Excel and PowerPoint on a daily basis and in my space time I continually reconfigure my home computer lab which consists of multiple servers, routers, and switches.
My background as an at-home and business based consultant combined with my presentation background and my passion for helping others gives me a passion for teaching and working with others to help them solve complex problems.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have worked with MAC's for over 10 years and supported them in both a home and business environment. I currently use a MacBook Pro on a daily basis and consistently work in the Terminal to SSH into multiple servers I run.
I have done everything from take them apart and replace batteries, hard drives, RAM, and displays and then proceeded with a complete reinstall of the operating system.
I have worked with Outlook for over 10 years on both a home and corporate network. I've supported it in large financial institutions consisting of over 10,000 employees and setup and configured an Exchange server on the backend for Outlook to connect to. I've setup rules, recovered lost files, migrated .pst's, sync'd calendars, setup Blackberry's and other smartphones, and recently configured Office 365.
I've been working with Windows since version 3.1. I've done support in corporate and home environments, doing everything from created encrypted partitions, to simple virus and spyware removal. I've build computers, installed the OS, configured RAID devices, setup home servers, and currently have a server running Windows 2008 R2 in a datacenter in Clifton, NJ. I debugged programs through logs, configured numerous accounts, setting, passwords, networks, and devices through everything from Windows 3.1 to 8. I'm extremely well versed in the ins and outs of Windows and was selected to beta test Windows vista when it came out a few years ago.
I have worked with computer networks for the past 10 years. I currently run a dedicated server in a collocation center in Clifton, NJ. I have a home network which consists of 3 servers, 2 switches and a router that I manage. I understand IPV4 and MAC addresses as well as NAT and home firewall setups.
