I am a great tutor if you want to learn to communicate with deaf people, in their language, American Sign Language! I have taught deaf children and am certified to teach using Sign Language in N.J. I was a mental health counselor for deaf people and their families in Maryland for many years prior to relocating to NJ. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a Master's in Deaf Education and certification to teach deaf children k-8th grade in Sign Language. I was the American Sign Language/Deaf Culture teacher at the Anna L.
