I am originally from Argentina where I received both my BS and PhD degrees in Physics. I spent few months in Paris, France and has lived in US for the last 10 years. I am an accomplished and experienced teacher and tutor in Physics and Mathematics with more than 10 years of experience. I m currently Prof. in Rutgers University doing research and teaching in Mechanical and Chemical Engineering Departments. I taught Physics and Mathematics both in High school and University levels, my specialty being the first courses of Physics and Mathematics in College and the AP and Honor courses in High-school (Calculus, Algebras and Physics). I am characterized by a versatile and intense dedication to work with students with different backgrounds and understanding levels.
In my free time, I enjoy camping, hiking and collecting rocks and minerals. I am also a Cub Scout Den Leader and a Catechist. Gerardo is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and accommodating. He tutored my son in both Calc AB and Honors Physics and the sessions were extemely helpful for my son. He picked up on the weak points that my son needed help on and got him working on those right away. My son noticed the difference in his understanding of the subjects after the very first session and continued to improve with each session. Thanks so much Gerardo.
After 5 tutoring sessions with Gerardo, many physics topics that I was struggling with before, have become much clearer. He is very knowledgeable about all of the topics and takes his time to go back and explain the most fundamental concepts of physics, instead of just solving the problems, which makes it easier to understand the process of solving problems. Every class he takes the time to help me work through multiple application problems which reinforce the concepts. Gerardo is a great tutor who has helped me greatly in only a month.
Very knowledgeable and committed, our son found the instruction very helpful for class as well as Sat subject test
Great Tutor. My daughter in AP Physics is a very good student and is currently getting an A- but feels the teaching at her school was very uneven and was concerned regarding the upcoming AP exam. After 3 sessions with Gerardo, she feels much more comfortable. I would recommend him highly.
He is very efficient in his lessons and straight to the point. I just needed to get some concepts and in only one class he went through everything very thoroughly with great patience and understanding. Gerardo C. is an excellent tutor. I would recommend him to any other student looking for exam preparation tips and insight of future lessons in school.
Gerardo is a great tutor. Not only does he know his material well, but he also puts an effort towards understanding where the student stands and what his weaknesses are to develop a plan to work on it and to improve it. I am glad I have picked him for my son.
Gerardo was an excellent choice for my daughter. He is helping her with her physics and after the first class we've noticed a grade improvement. She started to appreciate physics. He is very patient, punctual and courteous. He will make sure that you get the point before he moves on. He is right with the lesson and does not waste time. Very flexible and accommodating and works around my daughters schedule.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a PhD in physics so I had to use calculus during all my education and also during my career. Differentiation and integration is like our mother language for physicists. I taught calculus in the university and math and physics in high schools and also tutored many students.
I am currently Professor in Rutgers University, dictating courses during the Summer and conducting research and directing students during the year. I m tutoring (I like to say coaching) about two, maximum three, high school students during the year in Calculus and Physics to help them excel in those hard subjects, and then if they choose to, I prepare them for the AP test.
I have a PhD in physics so I had to use calculus, algebra and of course pre-algebra during all my education and also during my career. Math is like our mother language for physicists. I also taught and tutor MATH at different levels (in high school and the university).
I have a PhD in physics so I had to use calculus and precalculus during all my education and also during my career. Both calculus and precalculus are like our mother language for physicists. I also taught calculus in the university and I am tutoring high school students in AP calculus and advanced math (Precalculus) right now. I taught math and physics in high schools and also tutored many students.
