About Brian

I am currently a mathematics PhD student at Rutgers University with plenty of teaching experience at the college level. Courses I've taught include Calc 1-3, Diff EQ, Linear algebra, Analysis, Probability, and Graph theory. I have also been tutoring math one-on-one for ten years. The format of our sessions can be adapted to the desires and needs of the student. I work best with students who are genuinely interested in learning and improving. Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Discrete Math

I am going to receive a PHD at Rutgers soon, and my specialty is discrete math. I've taken many classes and regularly attend seminars on the subject. I've benefited from learning from some of the top discrete mathematicians at Rutgers. Also, this summer I taught a course in graph theory (a branch of discrete math).

Linear Algebra

I am going to soon receive a Phd in math. Anyone with a Phd in math understands linear algebra, as it's a fundamental subject. I've also twice taught a full-semester course on the subject at Rutgers.
